My kid loved this show when he was little, so I've seen some of it but I honestly don't remember much! I'm glad you ended up enjoying it, even if it didn't live up to what you'd heard about it. I had no idea it had been held up as a bastion of progressiveness... I'm sure you're right that cis white dudes get more credit than they deserve just for not being actively awful.
