Masterlist and guide
I ended up finishing Nobunaga's route in the "The Love Of A Wounded Heart" event. I've added the few lines of plot I mentioned in the last post so this one stands alone as a plot summary.
Anyway: it was kind of cute, if you're into literal feudal lord/handmaiden.
waterscroll convinced me that coins are pretty easy to get, and sure enough by mid afternoon I had gone from 2000 to 3500. So I'm going to finish off this Nobunaga event.
What I wrote last time:
Nobanuga: Trusting gods is as useless as trusting men. Both will betray you.
MC: Then why did you take me to the shrine to pray for victory?
Nobunaga: To get you alone, dumbass ;) *putting his finger under her chin* I don't trust anyone, including you. But don't betray me.
It's actually gotten pretty thrilling! After a bunch of foreshadowing, MC is annoyed that her red candy came out a bit colourless, only for Nobunaga to hold up a bright red candy and say it smells like poison! He refuses to listen to her explanation, calling her a traitor. I am inclined to think he knows she's innocent but is hoping to draw out the poisoner. Especially since Mitsuhide doesn't defend her. (him I trust to be nice)
Instead of killing her, Nobunaga exiles her to a distant but cosy cottage. She tells Mitsuhide she'll go back and find out what's going on for herself unless he explains.
Turns out Nobunaga faked the poison to get her out of the castle, because spies were planning to use her in an assassination plot against him, and he wanted to keep her safe.
She is touched, but returns to his castle, angry that he didn't trust her enough to tell her the truth and let her help by going undercover.
Nobunaga: I can't trust you to do that.
MC: I would never betray you!
Nobunaga: Can your promise you wouldn't die? For that would be an unacceptable betrayal.
MC: Then I will leave. But wherever I am, I will always be on your side, until Death takes me.
Nobunaga: ...Ok I can't let you leave after saying that *hugs her*
It's all very romantic and cute in a "he sees her as his precious property" way.
MC: I will wait faithfully for your return.
Nobunaga: Obviously. But do it at the cottage. Who knows what trouble foolish girls will get into without me to watch them.
She manages to offer him some helpful intel after all.
Nobunaga: When I am victorious, you will be richly rewarded.
MC: You're back! How did the battle...
Nobunaga: *kisses her* Your reward ;)
It's a pretty sexy kiss and they are both super into it.
AND NOW I AM OUT OF POINTS WITH ONE TINY SCENELET TO GO UUURGH.
*waits several hours to gain enough points*
Nobunaga: I felt the same way as you, but did not trust you. I do not ever see myself in the mood to trust anyone else, either.
MC: I know :(
Nobunaga, brushing aside her hair to kiss her throat: However...if you are going to tell me that you will be mine, I will choose to believe you when you say it.
Me: awww

Me: Uh...
Nobunaga: Perhaps I should make it clearer that you are well past being able to refuse this bargain.
MC: I know...I was yours long ago, Lord Nobunaga. All I ask is to serve by your side forever.
He gives her a love bite as an explicit mark of ownership.
"This time I am the one to kiss him, but when I do, I feel as if it is no longer a reward for a vassal, but a vow between equals"
Um. Ok, MC. If telling yourself that makes you happy...
THE END
Then there's an ad for the epilogue, which tells the same story from Nobunaga's POV. NOTHING CAN STOP THE HELLFIRES OF OUR LOVE, apparently. It costs 4 pearls so...nah, I'm good. I don't think I'd enjoy being inside his head, anyway.
I have a letter from Nobunaga. "Nothing you said was wrong, you know. Never forget that everything you are is mine...and that no man lives in peace who tries to destroy that which belongs to me." Aww. What a sweetie!
Anyway, that was kind of fun! This sort of M/f isn't my main jam but I can kind of dig it, at least in small doses.
