Masterlist and guide
This is a love story between two sweet, earnest, stubborn, idealistic young people who are very very dumb. It thus feels the most equal and balanced of the romances I've played so far, and they are very happy together.
But it doesn't take long before the only thing stopping them from declaring their eternal love is that both of them are too dumb to realise their feelings, and they tend to work through all the conflicts that come up between them pretty quickly, so there's not a lot of narrative tension in the romance arc.
And the terrorism plot ends up just...it's so dumb. SO DUMB. Like the whole game is "defeat terrorism with the power of love" but the last two chapters of this route were so irritating I skipped through most of the relevant dialogue. Also all the other characters seem to get simpler and dumber too, and into shipping the two leads together even when it felt OOC.
Thus the shorter than average summary! Here's hoping this was a one off and I'll enjoy the remaining two routes like I did the first two. I am definitely getting increasingly annoyed at the pro-police messages of the game, but I managed to get through Code Realise with it's "Genocidal war criminals are people too" message, so we'll see how I do. And nobody MADE me buy a game about a police woman dating a bunch of cops...
Not sure I mentioned: I added a character guide to the masterlist because there are a LOT of names. I've tried to be vague to avoid spoilers.
Content note: Violence, brief mention of sexual assault of minor characters, suicide
