Greetings again from sunny swancon
(It's actually sunset, and I only know that because my room has a nice view. I try and avoid the outdoors at cons, it's a waste of time that could be spent at panels or eating)
I'm having a rest before panels I want to go to from 9pm-midnight. We'll see how many of them I manage. I'm hoping for at least the 2013 programming panel, I am so psyched for the con after the launch. Gail Simone(*)! Charles Stross! I don't know much about Lucy Sussex but enjoyed the one John Birmingham book I read. Plus the committee have some cool sounding ideas, and I'm not just saying that because most of them are on my friendslist :)
I won best construction at the tabletop masquerade with a little paper Tavros complete with wheelchair, which was fun, especially since I was too sleepy to see much of the actual masquerade. Sure, the other contestants were all around 6, and everyone got a prize, but the important thing is that I won. Mad props to Fe for the family program, what I've seen of it has been great.
THAT'S RIGHT. I was going to look up some stuff for my panel for tomorrow. Man, that requires thinking...
(*)Who I've never actually read, but I keep hearing good or at least interesting things. And Z(**) gave me a nice little prepared pamphlet of comics by her to start with. Maybe I'll go as Oracle next year instead of the other wheelchair related costumes I was considering :D
(**)Never sure if I should use pseudonyms or actual names for these situations.

:o I've never even watched a panel, let alone been on one!
Also I've been told that I have to have some cross stitch for the art show.

Yeah, people would totally appreciate your cross stitch, especially for well known things (eg not Homestuck. I met a total of one other person who'd read Homestuck at the con, and we only met because Kitty was all "MY SIBLING LOVES HOMESTUCK YOU SHOULD TALK") Of course appreciate /= buy, necessarily.
