I've been really enjoying being able to search my dreamwidth, so now that they've instituted searches for free accounts too I've imported my livejournal to [info - personal] alias_sqbr.

Don't friend it or comment on the posts or anything! I'm only going to log in and update it every now and then. I just thought I'd mention it to anyone else who likes the idea of being able to search their lj. Afaict free accounts don't have the "search my journal" option, but "sqbr *search term*" seems to work pretty well. This may be less useful for people with less unique names, but you can always give your dw account a different name than your lj.

And I have some dw invites for anyone who wants one.

EDIT: Ok so it just occurred to me to search for " *blah* rec". OMG. I am going to be here all day.

You haven't disabled search engines on your LJ, so http://www.google.com.au/search?q=site%3Aalias-sqbr.livejournal.com+rec works. Does the DJ search return locked posts as well?

Came by via search, and: Free accounts can search an account if the account is free, and paid accounts can search any journal that hasn't explicitly disabled search. (We wanted to strike a balance; search is going to be one of our killer features, but at the same time, it's also a database-killer. So we have to be careful.)
