Animelab Dequeueing
A lot less this time, and when I cut and pasted the titles I got all the show descriptions too. So I've left them in, and am not bothering with a list.
Kaguya-Sama: Love is War
From a good family? Check! A good personality? Check! Shuchiin Academy is where all these elite students with bright futures flock to. As the two leaders of the student council, Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane have supposedly fallen in love…
This is hilarious and I am up to date! *keeps*
Ace Attorney (live action)
In the near future, an overflowing court system dictates that all trials can only convene for 3 days - then a verdict must be reached. Phoenix Wright is a novice lawyer who takes on a difficult murder case against prosecutor Miles Edgeworth, who has a perfect win record.
A movie. *keeps*
Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker
In the land of Orlais, a brash young Seeker—Cassandra—fights to stop a blood-soaked conspiracy. Hidden hands seek to tear apart the realm's most powerful religious order, and as the sinister plot unfolds, Cassandra is accused of treason and murder.
I love Cassandra but have heard this is quite bad. *drops*
Pop Team Epic
Two high school girls, the short and exceptionally quick to anger Popuko, and the tall and much more calm Pipimi, do insane things and swear like sailors in this absurdist comedy filled with references and meta humor.
I enjoyed a few episodes of this then went off it. *drops*
Sailor Moon
Usagi Tsukino is a cheerful 14-year-old schoolgirl who often finds herself in unwanted trouble. One day, she saves a talking cat named Luna from some mean kids, and her life is changed forever. Luna gives Usagi a magic brooch that transforms her into Sailor Moon, defender of love and justice! Now Usagi must work with Luna to find the other Sailor Guardians and the Moon Princess, whose Legendary Silver Crystal is Earth's only hope against the dark forces of the evil Queen Beryl!
I'm up to Season 3 eg the femslashy one directed by Ikuhara, which I'm enjoying except for the little girl (unsuccessfully) hitting on her dad. I'm watching the new dub because my brain is tired of all these subtitles, and it's not too bad. *keeps*
FLIP FLAPPERS
Cocona is a model honor student, cautious and slow to embrace new opportunities. This makes life complicated when a mysterious girl named Papika suddenly appears, fearlessly searching for a wish-granting crystal called the “Shard of Mimi.”
I'm not sure why I didn't enjoy this, but I didn't. *drops*
Wolf Girl and Black Prince
Erika talks to her friends about boyfriends and romance, but in all her sixteen years she's never actually dated anyone. She thought her lies had reached a limit until one day she takes a surreptitious video of a good looking guy she saw in town.
Ha this description glosses over the fact that the dude turns out to be secretly VERY SADISTIC. I enjoyed the manga of this but the (perfectly fine) anime didn't work for me for some reason. *drops*
Persona 4: The Animation
When Yu Narukami's family moves to the rural country town of Inaba, he's expecting a lot more peace and quiet than he's been used to in the big city. Instead, the peace has been shattered as a rash of mysterious murders and kidnappings sweep the countryside. With the police stymied, Yu finds himself joining with a group of eight other teenagers in a desperate bid to solve the mystery. A mystery that is somehow connected to both the local weather patterns and a strange video game world which Yu, his friends and the enigmatic killer can all enter. Journey beyond the Velvet Room as the hit PlayStation 2 game becomes a spectacular anime in PERSONA 4 the Animation!
Wasn't bad exactly, but didn't grab me, and felt like it was going to annoy me with gender roles *drops*
Inuyasha
Kagome is a modern high school girl who doesn't believe in the old myths and legends surrounding her grandfather's shrine. That is, until the day she falls into the shrine's well and into another time! In Japan's ancient past, Kagome joins the half demon Inuyasha on a quest to find the scattered shards of the Shikon Jewel, a gem so powerful that demons from across the land will do anything to get even a piece. Along the way they gain friends, battle enemies, and prepare to face their deadliest foe and rival for the Shikon Jewel--Naraku!
I enjoyed a few episodes of this but don't seem to be able to motivate myself to watch more. *drops*
Kamisama Kiss
Nanami Momozono is alone and homeless after her dad skips town to evade his gambling debts and the debt collectors kick her out of her apartment. So when a man she's just saved from a dog offers her his home, she jumps at the opportunity. But it turns out that his place is a shrine, and Nanami has unwittingly taken over his job as a local deity!
I really enjoyed Season 1 but ran out of momentum in Season 2. *drops*
Maria the Virgin Witch
In the time of the Hundred Years' War, a young and powerful witch known as Maria leads a reclusive existence. Shunned by the church but beloved by certain locals Maria endeavors to use her magic to bring an end to the warfare she so despises. She assists people of all walks of life with the help of her two familiars: a succubus and an incubus with great powers of seduction. Though she seeks only peace, the archangel Michael despises her use of magic to interfere in human affairs and decrees that should she ever manage to lose her virginity, Maria's powers will vanish! To ensure that Maria no longer mingles magic with humans, Michael sends the angel Ezekiel to keep a watchful eye on the virgin witch. Don't miss this intriguing tale of magic, war, and sexual frustration from Production I.G. and the director of Code Geass!
I...don't remember why I added this, but I'm fairly sure I hadn't realised the premise.*drops*
Cardcaptor Sakura
Curiosity is part of any 10-year old's life, but Sakura just broke the seal on a magical book and released all of the mischievous spirits imprisoned on the cards inside! Kero, the "Guardian of the Clow Cards" is horrified to find all of the cards gone and tells Sakura she must become the "Cardcaptor" and retrieve the spirits before they work their mischief in the world.
A rewatch but I saw it years ago and have forgotten most of the plot. A fun and fluffy 90s kids show laced with surprising amounts of angst and problematic bisexuality *keeps*
Nichijou - My Ordinary Life
If you think this is going to be a typical story of school life, you'll be surprised to know that the ordinary definitely doesn't happen in My Ordinary Life.
Surreal and silly but good natured cute comedy. Perfectly nice bit didn't grab me. *drops*
Snow White with the Red Hair
The story of the original manga revolves around Shirayuki, a beautiful girl working as a medicine woman who has red hair, which is very rare in her country. When she is proposed and chased after by the prince of her country, she runs away, only to meet Zen, the prince of a neighboring country. Finding respect for the young man, she decides to serve at his side as his court doctor.
This is amazing and I love it and have watched it all, I'm keeping it in my list so I get notified of any Season 3. *keeps*
THAT'S IT! I HAVE SORTED ALL MY STREAMING SERVICES! TREMBLE BEFORE MY MAJESTIC ACHIEVEMENT!
Using Netflix and Crunchyroll has definitely become more smooth and enjoyable now. I'm only down to four for Animelab now, which isn't much, but the fact I'm actively keeping up with Kaguya-sama will hopefully help remind me to watch the others too.
