Cheerful things!

So! I have been feeling a bit down recently for reasons I'm not going to go into in this post (I have realised that doing so makes me reluctant to read the comments, rather defeating the purpose) and would like some happy, positive human interaction.

So! If the mood strikes you, please comment with happy links, books/movies etc you've enjoyed recently, random cheerful comments about what you've been up to etc. No sympathy comments, I am not in the mood right now.

And to return the favour, here is my swancon costume as well as a mask I made. Also, here is some cute happy fixit art for Rogue One.

Also, while I'm here: hello to everyone who's been coming over to dreamwidth from livejournal!

Oh, yes, I understand that. I'm just sorry that I turn out to be one of the more difficult patients. (Which is why I warn.)

There's nothing to apologise for - people and bodies are diverse, that's *awesome*. It is nice when someone tells me that it's not my failing skill though, sometimes that's all that's needed to relax and do the thing well. And it's where skill comes in to remember diversity of people's make up, and do the best I can.

It wasn't until a nurse explained to me what the problem was that I understood the difficulty, so I made a little OCD note in my head.

I also have the number of lights between the start of Ocean Parkway to the turn to my house memorized so I can tell cab drivers when to turn.

Just the little things, y'know?

Oh yes, I am all about the little things and I... have and also have deliberately *not* thought about all the ways in which I notice the little things. Actually, I have but not the full extent. Hypervigilance is blessing/curse especially since mine extends to knowing intimately the contents of fridge/pantry, which utensils are in the dishwasher, or clean and away, where I put that piece of paper etc, how my live-in partners' days are tracking across the weeks, and so on. The random theory I remember as a defense against my lack of clinical experience is also ridiculous (and intimidating to those I desperately want to reassure). And um sorry, typing explosion. But yes, little things, to make things easier for me and others around me.

Yeah. Little things.
