This is much more balanced than many of the other posts I've seen about the live action.

I haven't watched yet and I'm not sure if I will. The original is very close to my heart and a big part of what appealed to me about it, and what made it work, was the animation. That's not to say that I wouldn't enjoy the live action version, too, but the original medium itself is what drew me.

From what I've seen (gif sets, photos, etc. on my dashboard) they did a good job with the casting, which is good to know.
