I was completely spoiled for Catra/Adora, so the moment didn't surprise me
when I watched it. And before that I'd been seeing people talking about how
the showrunners had hinted at wanting to make things As Queer As Possible
so I was cautiously optimistic about some canon f/f endgame ship,
though wasn't sure it would be Catra/Adora.
Shadow Weaver, Angella, and Horde Prime! Poor Angella is in some bad
company there.
I like romance plenty, and liked Perfuma/Scorpia, but also feel like
Glimmer/Bow was a bit gratuitous. The more I think about it the more I
think I'd have been happier without it, instead of the Best Friend Squad
becoming two couples.
Yes Adora makes for a great protagonist. I think in part because they
weren't afraid to focus on other character's stories and points of view for
extended periods, so you weren't always left going "Ok, that's ADORA'S
feelings but what about how Scorpia feels about it?" etc.
I'd be curious to hear your thoughts when they are digested!
