Nameless: Tei Route: Bad endings
Other posts.
Hoo boy.
Content note: Rape, abuse, non consensual drugging, other things! It's A Lot.
Doing this because (a) I made all these nice saves already (b) If Tei's going to be a part of the True Ending I want to know EXACTLY how bad he can get or it'll eat at me.
I googled these and they are PRETTY BAD (nb link has spoiler text covering the actual descriptions)
I like how all of these only require one wrong choice. On the one hand it makes it less awful for the player, on the other hand it implies Tei is always ONE WRONG MOVE away from snapping.
Bad End: Welcome to Banjul
Eri invites Tei to come with her to be a Teen Sleuth investigating the apparent theft of the harp! Alas...this is not a Teen Sleuth game...
Tei: What if I say no? You'd still want to go, wouldn't you?
He says he's going in his room to get flashlights etc. But then as if he just remembered something, he instead goes into the kitchen and makes her a cup of tea in a cute lil mug with cats on it.
Tei: My own special blend ^_^
Eri thinks about how kind and caring and reliable and meticulous Tei is. But then...everything goes blurry...
Tei: I'm sorry, I didn't want to do this. But don't worry, I didn't put in anything harmful. You ruined it, not taking my advice, and doing something dangerous. Leave it to me, and when you wake up, everything will be taken care of.
He looks at her diary, with all her memories from before she met him. He doesn't like it. *rip*
Eri wakes in Banjul to a concerned Zion.
Tei: Hey, stop being lazy! You've been here a month and you're always sleeping.
Hobin: Quitting school with an illness you can't telling anyone about, losing your memories...you have it tough.
Tei: I don't know how she feels, but as someone who watches over her, I can't keep my eyes off her for a second. ...I feel safe when my owner is here.
Zion: Owner?
Tei: Look, a customer. Welcome to Banjul!
A CG of all of them working in Banjul. At least...Eri's smiling???
THE END
Bad End: For Friendship
Eri ignores Zion asking her to do a favour for him and bring tea to Banjul while Soi is making her move on Tei. At least this is an obviously bad decision.
Eri is angsting about Soi and Tei when he comes into her room and sits on her bed, staring pensively at his doll self.
Tei: You feel bad you can't tell your friends about us dolls, don't you? I understand now how important those friends are to you. You can't lose them...Anyway, go to sleep. Remember to drink your tea.
Eri: (Hmm this tastes stronger than normal...)
Tei: You haven't been having fun at school because of me. And today I wondered if you might lose your friend because of me. I'm sorry.
Everything goes fuzzy.
Tei: I can just have you forget everything but you and me...
TEI щ(ﾟДﾟщ)
You know for FIVE SECONDS I thought he might sacrifice HIMSELF but NOooooo
THE END
Bad End: My Owner
Sooooo Eri just freezes while Tei is forcing himself on her. HOORAY.
He kisses her, and squeezes her sore knee until she wants to scream. Everything goes white, and Tei says in a shaking voice that he loves her, and will treat her better than anyone in the world. He tells her not to forgive him, and her mind goes completely blank.
Eri wakes in the library, and with an unbalanced sounding voice Tei admires her "pretty scar", then says he'll get her breakfast and then some other creepy "romantic" things I will LEAVE TO YOUR IMAGINATION.
THE END
Bad End: A Doll Play
So instead of telling Tei he's not dirty, Eri says "You can destroy me". He immediately gets VERY CREEPY and when she tries to pull away says she needs to keep her promises.
Nameless: How could you let yourself get destroyed like this? Should I bring her here to play?
In the drama club dressing room, Tei is dressing Eri in a pretty dress and wig.
Tei: Is this arm not moving well? I should adjust the tension. Now it's time for you and I to go on the stage and put on the show. You just have to follow the script.
Wait, what's with those eyes? If we finish the show safely we'll do everything you like. But first...let me tell you how much I love you.
And then...I think Nameless calls them onto the stage?? And in the CG Eri is a lifesize ball jointed doll???
THE END
Ok, despite what TV Tropes thinks, I'm not sure she lost her voice in the first one, or was necessarily catatonic in the third. But she did seem to be literally voice-less there. Sort of, Tei said a thing...implying...sex noises which I am not going to go back and rewatch to remind myself of.
ANYWAY. THAT WAS CERTAINLY CREEPY.
